Poem of Travel

Image
Showers of beauty on mountains And we’re climbing one in car, Songs older than the car itself, Mist of shyness hiding hills Feels like climbing a stairway to heaven, shrieks of laughter, Vibrant houses shining like gems, Wacky ups and downs, And the downpour of water has formed these curves, And some scars of time, weather, and men, Even though it's all an illusion O madhav, Tahairnai do issai, marai mn kai angan kai, eak chotai sai konai mai A.V

Unsaid Dowry

Is it necessary? yes But why? What if they don't ask for it? Some unsaid things are also important You had to take a loan for it With all the debt of the past, will you be able to finish all that?  yes... After selling all the things in this house?  Hmmm... I won't live a happy life with a sad father And the people? Their work is to say, Ours is to do the right thing To only give the sole jewel a father has, His daughter. A.V

Devotee

Image
Devotee It's inspiring how there's a world  more divine, more holy, more beautiful  then the world we live in It inspires us to do good deeds, just so we can be freed from this world and move towards the new journey, to the world  more divine, more holy, more beautifully, just so, we can become a part of it  just so we can see him with our soul, just so we can meet him and say, Jai Shree Krishna, while hands together in the air  with a tear and a smile.  A.V

Stairway to Heaven

Image
Stairway to Heaven  Two souls in the graveyard, telling stories of their lives— climbing the stairway to Heaven. They move with the sorrowful wind. All the money, all the objects— left behind, stranded. And all that's left now is regret... and love. A.V

Conversation (Disguised, Stars, Lights)

Moment ( Rusty Old Benches)

Image
Rusty Old Benches These rusty old benches, have caused us pain and suffering. Some sharp edge would cut our flesh Some stiff corner would bump into us. They have made us fight for, the best bench. They have made a school, feel like school. A.V

Moment (October and November)

Image
October and November  The slow pleasant wind neither too cold, nor too hot. All shades of green and red, with blooming flowers. Advancing festivals, and  an avalanche of memories. A.V

Kingdom of Skies

Image
Kingdom of Skies  Royal purple ruling the skies  King red and queen pink, in the background  Shades of blue all over the place, just like the citizens  Trader Yellow, connecting everything  Slave green, hidden in plain sight  Clouds wandering away, just like The whales's in the open seas. A.V

Moment (Freezing, Winds, Cycle)

Image
Moments  Freezing winds, white skies, and  sloth rooming around  Lime, 21 shaft cycle, moving  gracefully Deep blue jacket, up-sleeved, looking fancy  Dark, analog watch, left  wrist. Some rupees on the right pocket, a cotton bag  on left  From home to shop, and back home. feels, familiarly lovely. A.V

The Abstractions of Rain

Image
The Abstractions of Rain Drizzles of rain. Showers of pain. Invisible. Flashes of thunder. Reminders of the past. Haunted. Gloomy skies. Depressed nights. Wet pillow. Cries of clouds. Sounds of irritation. Hurts. Rushing winds. Cold drizzles. Slaps. Unattended ponds. Shrieks of splash. Stranded. Mist of drench. Smog of negativity. Unclear.

The Angels of Rain

Image
The Angels of Rain “Look, look! There they are!” “Where?” “Over us—look there!” “Oh… rain’s coming?” “Yes, yes. The angels will make it rain.” “Hmm...” Why is it that one has tears rolling down her cheeks, and the other wears a big smile on his face? Why does one live in the past, buried in sorrow, while the other lives in the present, full of joy? Why does the rain sometimes feel... sad? It’s because— one is letting go of her burden, and the other is smiling for her— because she is healing. It’s because— one has been clinging to the past, grieving it, regretting it... while the other has learned to accept it— and now chooses to live fully in the present. And if you look closely, you’ll see it too: the joy hidden inside the rain. A.V

Before The Rain

Image
Before The Rain The winds rushing through the windows, with an essence of winters. Clouds start to speak for themselves, and we hear a clap of thunder. The daylight gets weaker, and it feels like dusk. Flashes of past and future, and thunder coming down. The skies cry, and water pours down. It's, raining again.  A.V

Messenger

Image
Messenger (Poem 1) When an angel descends,   just to guide you just to remove,  all that grieve's you. When an angel descends,  just to see you just to,  heal you don't hide, don't run, don't close your eyes, it sees everything, and  anything, that's why   The angel descends,  just to guide you just to remove,  all that grieve's you.   The angel descends, just to see you just to, heal you. Just to take away, that little devil from you.     A.V

A seed, of friendship

Image
A seed, of friendship A seed planted, will it grow a beautiful tree or a thorny bush, don't know but, I hope for a gracious tree. O lord. Please  let our seed sprout O Keshav. Please guard our sapling against any bad omen. O Madhav. Please let it grow, even if growth  is as slow as bonsai, as, bonsais are also lovely.  A.V
